The Boy & the Piano
You’re a mercenary set on making a name for yourself. After thousands of miles on foot, you drag your weary bones over the crest of a hill. Through the curtain of rain, a magnificent view spreads out before you. The Alpatchian Mountains and the white spires of the great capital city of Tildarian, dominate the horizon. Your eye is drawn to the River Osgill, snaking its way through the land. Only then do you notice the smoke from the village below, its thatched buildings on fire, the town bell ringing. You hear distant screams, thick with terror. You draw your weapon and descend the slope; finally, the opportunity to put your skills to good use has come In The Temple of the Awoken - a choose-your-own-path adventure novel - your goal is to accumulate valour by defeating enemies, helping the local populace, and exploring the vast land of Tildaria. Who knows, you might even discover who is behind the senseless and barbaric attacks and put a stop to their treachery once and for all. Will your name be remembered for centuries to come, written in the history books, or will you be forgotten with the coming of the wind, like the many mercenaries who came before you? Good luck adventurer!
When Frankie Woods, the ‘invisible’ middle child of seven children, is named in his late grandpa’s will as the new owner of his disused piano, his family are puzzled. It’s only when his parents try to get rid of it that Frankie discovers it’s no ordinary piano and with the help of Jessica, the rebellious girl next door, he uncovers the truth of Grandpa’s death. But as he draws closer to the truth, a masked intruder threatens to destroy the piano and Frankie is forced to defend the piano with his life. The Boy & the Piano is a middle-grade fantasy, mystery filled with adventure, wonder, and a splash of magic, and illustrates the importance of courage and finding one’s voice.
Meet the characters
(of The Storm Weaver)

Emily's little brother. Looks up to his sister and loves Pom-Pom more than anything. Loyal, messy, and has awful table manners. Favourite food: Mum's bread and butter pudding.
Emily's mum. Since losing her husband 4 years ago, she has become fiercely protective of Emily and Johnny. Works at the local secondary school, Puddleton Highschool, as an Art teacher.
The protagonist (main character) of The Storm Weaver. Fiercely loyal and intelligent, there's nothing Emily wouldn't do to keep things the way they are - after all, no one could ever replace her dead father.

Small enough to fit inside a cereal bowl, Emily and Johnny's beloved pet Pomeranian will never sleep in the same place more than once. Cheeky and wheezes like a kettle boiling. Oh, and he hates the postman!
Emily's mum's new boyfriend. Clumsy, dull and out-right weird, at least that's what Emily thinks of him. But perhaps there's more to him than meets the eye...

A mysterious figure who's origin is unknown to most in the Storm Lands. They rule over Teshan using the Storm to drain the life force of anyone foolish enough to cross them...
Step into Teshan
(The Storm Lands)
Teshan (known in recent years as the Storm Lands), is a dying world where children no longer exist. When the evil Storm Lord murdered the King of Teshan, the land has been plagued with storms.

Bumbershrooms are incredibly rare fungi that can grow to the size of small mountains. Cooking their flesh unlocks its potent healing and energising properties. They also act as conduits to electricity and are thus the only defence against the Storm that ravages the lands of Teshan.

One of the Dread Engines from The Storm Lands. Once used for farming and mining purposes, the Storm Lord now uses them against the people of Teshan.
